Changes in courses from Autumn 2026

Starting from Autumn 2026, the course structure will be go over significant changes and regrouping.

The first 5 credits (TKT20009) will be regrouped into two courses:

  • TKT200094: an exam course, based on the MOOC material. The exam is an examinarium exam (done offline), and will be mainly available starting the exam period 1 to exam period 2.
  • TKT200095: a MOOC course, consisting mostly of programming exercises in Software Security as well as Project 1. The course will available during Periods 1-2 (Autumn).

The second 5 credits (CSM13204) will be also regrouped into two courses:

  • CSM132044: an exam course, based on the MOOC material. The exam is an examinarium exam (done offline), and will be mainly available starting the exam period 3 to exam period 4.
  • CSM132045: a MOOC course, consisting mostly of programming exercises in Advanced Topics, Project 2, and Capture the Flag. The course will be available during Periods 3-4 (Spring).

If you are a student at University of Helsinki, have completed some previous parts (TKT200091-3) or (CSM132041-CSM132043), and need TKT20009 or CSM13204, then you have the chance to complete the missing parts during the academic year 2026-2027. Note that this option only applies to the students at UH, students of other universities or open university should use the new structure. These legacy courses will be phased out.
